About the Author
David G. Myers is the John Dirk Werkman Professor of Psychology at Michigan's Hope College, where students have voted him "Outstanding Professor." Myers' love of teaching psychology is manifest in his writings for the lay public. His articles have appeared in two-dozen magazines and he has authored or co-authored ten books, including The Pursuit of Happiness (Avon, 1993) and The American Paradox (Yale University Press, 2000).

One of the best academic books I have read so far!

One of my favorite university books so far. This book covers all of the basic and some of the more profound concepts of Social Psychology.
It is well written and though it is academic literature it is very easy read, and definitely interesting enough to keep you from losing interest.
Another great thing about this book is that it has it's own "online learning center", where you can test yourself on what you have learned with multiple choice and true or false tests, as well as it presents you with some essay questions and a glossary for each module, this makes it easier for students to learn and prepare for exams.

This book is highly recommended to both students, teachers and anyone else who is interested in psychology.

Great price, it wasn't brand new

Great price, it wasn't brand new, but good shape. So far it's been a pleasure reading and studying from the book. Most classes assign several chapters that take me hours to get through. All my assigned chapters from this book take me around 2 hours to get through and I'm test ready. I didn't even finish my last assigned chapter last week and still scored a 90 on my exam.
It's an easy read with easy to understand concepts.

Very Interesting

I really enjoyed reading this book even though it was required reading for my psychology class. The concepts were fascinating and even though most of them were commonsense, they were ideas that had never occurred to me and were interesting to ponder about. If you're studying psychology I would definitely recommend this book, or if you're just interested in learning about social behavior I would recommend this book to you as well.
